Every June 21, Castelnau-le-Lez celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians and local artists play for free in the open air, in the heart of the city and especially around Place de la Liberté. The evening is entirely free and open to all, in a friendly atmosphere at the gates of Montpellier.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Castelnau-le-Lez into an open-air stage every June 21. On the occasion of the summer solstice, music freely takes over public spaces, from early evening until late at night, in all genres and for all audiences.
