About Music Festival in Saint-Martin
Each June 21, the Collectivité de Saint-Martin celebrates the Fête de la Musique in the heart of Marigot. On the Waterfront and in the island's neighborhoods, amateur musicians, school students, and local artists play for free, with entertainment from afternoon until night, in all genres. The day is entirely free and open to all.
The Fête de la Musique in Saint-Martin
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the French part of Saint-Martin into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces throughout the island, from early evening until the middle of the night, in all styles and for all audiences.
A Celebration on the Waterfront and Throughout the Island
Usually, the Collectivité de Saint-Martin sets up the main stage on Marigot's Waterfront, along the market and the seafront: school children open the festivities in the morning, then local artists take turns on stage in the late afternoon. The celebration continues in other neighborhoods of the island, particularly in Grand Case and Baie Orientale, where bars, restaurants, and associations offer their own concerts.
