Free concerts on the seafront on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Saint-Pierre, the capital of Southern La Réunion, celebrates the Fête de la Musique on its seafront. Along Boulevard Hubert-Delisle and in several districts of the city, open-air stages host amateur musicians and established artists for free, in a Creole atmosphere blending maloya, séga, world music, and contemporary sounds.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Saint-Pierre into an open-air stage every June 21. In La Réunion, the event is a must-attend cultural highlight: music freely takes over public spaces, from the afternoon until late into the night, carried by the island's traditional rhythms and the full diversity of contemporary music.
In Saint-Pierre, the heart of the celebration beats on the seafront, along Boulevard Hubert-Delisle, where several stages follow one another facing the ocean. The event « La Mizik dan ker Sin Pier » honors Reunionese talents and traditional and world music, with artists such as Secteur A, Yeko, or Kent. The evening comes alive particularly around Place Rotary and Place Albany.
