Every June 21, Tulle, prefecture of Corrèze and city of the accordion, celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, choirs, orchestras, and local artists play for free in the streets, squares, and on the terraces of the city center. A day that is entirely free and open to all, where all styles come together.
The Fête de la Musique in Tulle
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Tulle's city center into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces: orchestras, choirs, and local groups perform in the squares, while bars and restaurants extend the celebration onto their terraces until late in the evening.
A celebration in the heart of the city of the accordion
A city of art and history renowned for its accordion, Tulle honors the musical practices of the region. The Cité de l'accordéon et des patrimoines hosts choir concerts, while Place Maschat and the city center streets bring together orchestras, vocal ensembles, and musicians. All genres intersect, from orchestral repertoire to choral singing, in a popular and friendly atmosphere.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Tulle takes place on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the city center. Harmonies, choirs, and local groups animate Place Maschat and the Cité de l'accordéon, while bars and restaurants take over on their terraces in the evening.

First highlights announced for the 2026 edition:
Place Maschat
Concert by the Harmonie des Enfants de Tulle, approximately 70 musicians under the direction of Sophie Marleix, in the late afternoon (around 6:30 PM).
Cité de l'accordéon et des patrimoines
Concerts by choirs from Pays de Tulle, including the inclusive choir Les Timbrés de la Voix.
Streets, squares, and city center terraces
Throughout the evening, the city's bars and restaurants host concerts on their terraces or indoors, for all tastes and ages.
