Every June 21, Villenave-d'Ornon celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) at Parc Sourreil. Organized by the City's cultural department, the evening is entirely free and brings together two open-air stages where eight local groups perform, from rock to blues, including slam, jazz fusion, and funky pop.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city into an open-air stage every June 21. In Villenave-d'Ornon, a town in the Gironde department of the Bordeaux metropolitan area, the event takes place in the green heart of Parc Sourreil, where music freely takes over the public space for a summer evening.
Two Stages, Eight Groups
The 2026 edition features two open-air stages, the South Stage and the North Stage, which run simultaneously from 7 PM to 11 PM. Genres coexist without hierarchy: rock, blues, trip hop, jazz fusion, musical slam, and funky pop take turns throughout the evening, performed by regional bands. Drinks and light refreshments are available on site to enjoy the celebration until late at night.
