The Musica del temps passat Festival is an early music event held every summer in the church of Roquefixade, nestled at the foot of the Cathar castle in the Ariège region. Organized by the association Les amis de Roquefixade, it features concerts dedicated to medieval, Renaissance, and baroque repertoires, performed by specialized ensembles.

Every summer, the Musica del temps passat Festival brings the sounds of ancient voices and instruments to the intimate setting of the Roquefixade church, a small village in Ariège overlooked by its iconic Cathar castle. The festival explores medieval, Renaissance, and early baroque repertoires through a high-quality program featuring renowned ensembles from the early music scene.
A labor of love from local volunteers
Organized by the Les amis de Roquefixade association, the festival has established itself over the years as a must-attend summer event for early music enthusiasts in Ariège. The evening concerts take full advantage of the unique acoustics and atmosphere of the village church.
