Digital arts, electro, and immersive urban experiences
Since 1998, Ososphère has explored the territories where art, technology, and celebration meet. Driven by the Artefact platform and rooted in the Laiterie-Gare district of Strasbourg, this "total celebration" combines digital and interactive art exhibitions, memorable electronic nights, and reflections on the city of tomorrow. In 2026, over 40 free-access artworks, DJ sets with Cerrone and NTO, and a spectacular transformation of the train station into a giant dancefloor: Ososphère pushes the boundaries of cultural events.
Ososphère was born in 1998 from the desire of the cultural platform Artefact to create a hybrid event, at the crossroads of contemporary art, electronic music, and urban reflection. Since its beginnings, the festival has refused categories: it is neither a music festival, nor an exhibition, nor a conference, but all of these at once—a "total celebration" that questions our relationship with the city, the digital, and the future.
Ososphère is deeply rooted in the Laiterie-Gare district of Strasbourg. It takes over La Laiterie-Artefact (concert hall and exhibition space), La Fabrique de Théâtre, Molodoï, and the surrounding public spaces. The festival transforms this district into an open-air artistic trail, blurring the lines between cultural space and urban space.
The heart of Ososphère is the digital art exhibition. Each edition presents dozens of interactive works, immersive installations, and digital creations that question our relationship with the contemporary world. In 2026, under the title "Ohm Sweet Ohm — for a Conversation with The Future!", over 40 works are presented free of charge in three locations. Visitors are invited to touch, manipulate, and interact with the works.
The Ososphère Electronic Nights have become a cult event for electronic music lovers in Strasbourg. The festival features internationally renowned artists in unlikely venues: in 2026, the central hall and the glass roof of the Strasbourg train station were transformed into a giant dancefloor to host Cerrone, Étienne de Crécy, and Schnautzi. Evenings with NTO, Joris Delacroix, and many local DJs complete the program.
Beyond the celebration, Ososphère is a reflection laboratory. The UltraLab-Café, located at Molodoï, offers a convivial space with a European café, tasting experiences, intimate DJ sets, performances, and participatory conversations. The Medialab produces multimedia content, and cultural mediation programs accompany each edition. Ososphère sees art as a tool for reinventing our way of inhabiting the city.
