About Ouvre la Voix

Ouvre la Voix is a traveling cyclo-musical festival organized by the Rock School Barbey. Every September, it offers a musical bike tour along the Roger Lapébie cycle path connecting Bordeaux to Sauveterre-de-Guyenne. Free open-air concerts, discovery of heritage and local products mark these three days of eco-responsible festivities that combine soft mobility and live music.

Ouvre la Voix, the festival by bike

Ouvre la Voix is a unique festival that combines music, cycling, and heritage. Organized by the Rock School Barbey, it takes place every September along the Roger Lapébie cycle path, a former railway line connecting Bordeaux to Sauveterre-de-Guyenne through Entre-deux-Mers.

A traveling musical tour

The festival offers a traveling bike tour punctuated by free concerts in the villages along the way. Festival-goers pedal from stage to stage to discover artists from all backgrounds: rock, world music, chanson, cumbia, choir, and many other musical styles.

Heritage and terroir

Beyond music, Ouvre la Voix invites you to discover the heritage and local products of Entre-deux-Mers. Tastings, producer markets, and visits punctuate the tour, creating an immersive and friendly experience.

An eco-responsible festival

By making cycling the primary mode of transport, the festival embodies an eco-responsible and sustainable approach. This original approach makes it a pioneering event in the French festival scene.

Ouvre la Voix — edition 2026

ℹ️ 2026 Edition cancelled. Rock School Barbey has announced that the Ouvre la Voix festival will not take place in 2026. The last edition was held from September 5 to 7, 2025, on the Roger Lapébie cycle path, between Bordeaux and Sauveterre-de-Guyenne.

ℹ️ 2026 Edition cancelled — the Ouvre la Voix festival will not take place in 2026. The organizer, Rock School Barbey, clearly stated this on its official page ("OUVRE LA VOIX N'AURA PAS LIEU EN 2026"). Therefore, no dates for September 2026 are scheduled this year.

The last documented edition of the cyclo-musical festival took place from September 5 to 7, 2025, along the Roger Lapébie greenway in the Entre-deux-Mers, featuring Dominique A and Vaudou Game, among others. The concept remained true to its spirit: a cycling route punctuated by concerts, tastings of local products, and Bordeaux wines.
