2026 edition of the Oyster and Pineau Festival, at the port of Château-d'Oléron (Charente-Maritime). Two festive and free evenings — on Sundays, July 19th and August 16th, 2026 — from 5 PM, featuring seafood and local Charentais products.

Oyster and Pineau Festival 2026

An unmissable summer event in Château-d'Oléron, the Oyster and Pineau Festival takes place at the port, avenue du port, on two dates in 2026: Sunday, July 19th and Sunday, August 16th, from 5:00 PM to midnight. Admission is free.

Organized by the association « Le Château en fête », the evening highlights local products and Oléronais conviviality within the oyster port setting.

Programme Oyster & Pineau Fest 2026

From 5:00 PM, at the port (avenue du port):

  • Tasting of local products: mussel églades, marinière mussels, oysters, sausages, merguez, fries, hot dogs, sandwiches, refreshment stand
  • Entertainment throughout the evening
  • Dance party in the evening
  • Fireworks display at the close, weather permitting

Two identical evenings: Sunday, July 19th, 2026 and Sunday, August 16th, 2026, from 5:00 PM to midnight.

Flavors of the Island of Oléron

The Oyster and Pineau Festival is a traditional summer event in Château-d'Oléron that honors the two emblematic products of the region: oysters from the Marennes-Oléron basin and Pineau des Charentes. From July to August, every Sunday evening becomes a celebration of local gastronomy.

Festive atmosphere at the port

From 5 PM, the port of Château-d'Oléron comes alive with stands offering tastings of mussels, oysters, sausages, fries, and other local specialties. Musical entertainment, dances, and fireworks (weather permitting) create a festive and friendly atmosphere for the whole family, combining maritime tradition and Charentais lifestyle.
