About Printemps des Poètes - Lodève
A local version of the Printemps des Poètes, a national event dedicated to poetry, the Printemps des Poètes in Lodévois and Larzac takes place every year in March. For almost a month, around twenty cultural actors from the region offer readings, meetings with poets, shows, songs, dances, workshops and exhibitions in about ten communes of Lodévois and Larzac, in Hérault, Occitanie.
The Printemps des Poètes in Lodévois and Larzac
The Printemps des Poètes in Lodévois and Larzac is the local version of the Printemps des Poètes, a major national and international event for raising awareness of poetry in all its forms. Coordinated by the Lodève media library and supported by the Communauté de communes Lodévois et Larzac, the event brings together around twenty cultural actors from the region every year in March.
A month of poetry throughout the territory
Rather than a festival concentrated in a single location, the Printemps des Poètes in Lodévois and Larzac is experienced as a journey: readings, meetings with authors, poetic performances, musical tales, songs, dances, writing and voice workshops, and exhibitions follow one another throughout March in several communes of Lodévois and Larzac.
An event rooted in its territory
Located in the heart of Hérault, in Occitanie, the event highlights the heritage and cultural life of Lodève and the surrounding villages. Between the Mediterranean coast and the Larzac plateau, the Lodévois and Larzac territory offers a setting conducive to the encounter between poetry and the public, from enlightened enthusiasts to the simply curious.
A friendly gathering
The Printemps des Poètes in Lodévois and Larzac is above all a moment of sharing. The complete program, rich with around twenty shows and meetings, participatory workshops and exhibitions, is communicated each year by the Communauté de communes and the Lodève media library.

The 2026 edition of Printemps des Poètes in Lodévois and Larzac takes place from March 3rd to 31st, 2026, centered around the national theme « Freedom. A living, deployed force ».
Throughout the month of March, about twenty cultural actors in the region offer a rich program: about twenty shows and meetings with poets, about ten participatory workshops (writing, voice, radio, slam…) and several exhibitions, spread across about ten communes in Lodévois and Larzac — including Lodève, La Vacquerie, Lauroux, Le Bosc, Le Caylar, Le Puech, Les Rives, Poujols, Saint-Étienne-de-Gourgas and Saint-Maurice-Navacelles.
The event is coordinated by the Lodève media library and supported by the Communauté de communes Lodévois et Larzac. The detailed day-by-day program is published annually by the organizers.
