Festival of contemporary and experimental traditional music in Lorient
Rage Sacrée is a festival dedicated to contemporary and experimental traditional music, created in 2025 and programmed in Lorient at the Hydrophone venue. At the crossroads of traditional music, pop, and experimental music, the festival celebrates renewal and the sacred through trance, rituals, and atypical, sensory, and committed concerts. The event is part of a multi-city network including Paris and Rennes, under the banner "Rituals x Folklores x Avant-Gardes".
The festival Rage Sacrée was born in 2025 from a desire to celebrate contemporary traditional music in all its diversity and richness. Under the banner "Rituals x Folklores x Avant-Gardes", the event is located at the intersection of past and present, heritage and innovation, at the crossroads of traditional music, pop, and experimental music.
More than just a concert festival, Rage Sacrée offers a sensory immersion at the spring equinox. For two to three days, the public is invited to experience atypical, sensory, and committed musical experiences, celebrating renewal and the sacred through trance and rituals. The programming highlights artists who push the boundaries between genres, mixing folk, world music, ambient, noise, and ritual music.
From its second edition in 2026, Rage Sacrée will deploy its programming across several cities in France. The Hydrophone in Lorient, the Antipode in Rennes, and Petit Bain in Paris will simultaneously host concerts and events, creating a network of partner venues united by a shared passion for reinvented traditional music.
