World music, rock and reggae at the foot of the ramparts of Bressuire castle
Remp'Arts Festival is a free contemporary music festival that takes place every year in May-June at the foot of the ramparts of Bressuire castle, in the Deux-Sèvres region. Organized by the association Trëts Festivités in partnership with ALG Spectacles, it offers a diverse program over two days, mixing rock, world music, reggae, funk, brass band, and mixed music. Created in 2022, the festival quickly found its audience thanks to its open formula — free entry, friendly atmosphere, food and drink on site — and the exceptional setting of the medieval castle of Bressuire.
Since 2022, the Remp'Arts Festival has taken over the grounds of the Bressuire castle every year, an imposing medieval fortress whose ramparts provide a spectacular backdrop for open-air concerts. The association Trëts Festivités, in partnership with ALG Spectacles, has created a musical event that combines total free entry, musical diversity, and friendliness.
The Remp'Arts Festival's programming reflects an open and generous vision of music: rock, world music, reggae, funk, brass band, French chanson, and mixed music cross paths on stage, in a spirit of discovery and sharing. The festival showcases emerging artists and regional bands, while also welcoming increasingly well-known groups.
The Bressuire castle, a listed historic monument, offers an exceptional setting for the festival. Its medieval walls, towers, and esplanade create a unique atmosphere where history meets contemporary music. Spectators can relax on the grass at the foot of the ramparts, drink in hand, and enjoy the concerts in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
On-site food and drink complete the experience, with local products and specialties from the Bocage bressuirais. The festival also hosts the Conservatoire de Musique du Bocage Bressuirais, whose students perform at the opening, creating a valuable link between musical training and live performance.
In just a few editions, the Remp'Arts Festival has established itself as a major cultural event in the Bocage bressuirais. Its free and open formula attracts a large and diverse audience — families, young people, music lovers, the curious — contributing to the cultural vibrancy of a rural area often far from major music distribution circuits.
5th edition of the Remp'Arts Festival at Bressuire Castle, on May 23 and 24, 2026. Two days of free rock, world music, and reggae concerts in the open air.

The festival takes place at the Château de Bressuire, rue du Château, 79300 Bressuire.
