2026 Edition: 10 Years of RIIP Fest
The RIIP Fest celebrates its 10th edition on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Espace Oésia in Notre-Dame-d'Oé, ten minutes from Tours. For this anniversary, the RÏÏPOST association brings together about fifteen bands over two days, mixing international headliners, European veterans, and emerging acts from the metal and hardcore scene.
Headliners
The 2026 lineup features three major names: Thrown (rising Swedish metalcore), Cancer Bats (Canadian hardcore-punk), and D.R.I. (American crossover thrash legends). They are joined by Shai Hulud (American melodic metalcore) and Death Before Dishonor (Boston hardcore), for a lineup that covers the entire spectrum of extreme music.
Format and Capacity
The festival takes place in the Espace Oésia performance hall (capacity approximately 1,000 people), with a bar, on-site catering, merch stands, and distros. The spirit remains that of a human-sized community gathering, true to the event's hardcore identity.

Metal and hardcore in Touraine
The RIIP Fest is a festival dedicated to metal and hardcore music that takes place every summer at Espace Oésia in Notre-Dame-d'Oé, in the immediate vicinity of Tours. Organized by the RÏÏPOST association (created in 2012 to organize metal and hardcore concerts in Tours and its agglomeration), the festival has built a strong identity and a solid reputation in the French metal festival circuit, attracting extreme music enthusiasts from all over France and Europe.
High-level international lineups
The RIIP Fest stands out for the quality of its international lineups. The 2025 edition (9th edition) welcomed legends such as Napalm Death (grindcore pioneers), Stick To Your Guns (American hardcore figures) and All Out War (crossover thrash/hardcore masters), alongside Xibalba, TRC, Desolated, Brat, No Turning Back, Xile, Worst Doubt, Alma, Black Mantra, Insurgent, Another Bloodshed and 20 Seconds to Comply.
The 10th edition in 2026
For its 10th edition on July 3 and 4, 2026, the RIIP Fest makes a strong impression with an exceptional lineup: Thrown, Cancer Bats and D.R.I. as headliners, accompanied notably by Shai Hulud, Death Before Dishonor, End It, Slope and Combust. Fifteen bands in total will share the two days, for an anniversary edition that promises to be a highlight for the metal community in Touraine and beyond.
Espace Oésia, a suitable venue
Espace Oésia in Notre-Dame-d'Oé, a versatile cultural complex with a capacity of approximately 1,000 people, offers a technical setting adapted to the requirements of a metal festival: quality stage, powerful sound system and complementary indoor and outdoor spaces. Located just ten minutes from the center of Tours, the venue is easily accessible by car and public transport.
A community festival
The RIIP Fest embodies the community spirit of the hardcore and metal scene. Beyond the concerts, the festival is a place for meetings and sharing for a passionate community. Merch stands (merchandising), distros (record and fanzine distributions) and on-site catering contribute to creating a warm and committed atmosphere. The festival is run by a team of volunteers from the local scene, who put their passion at the service of the metal community.
