Rock, welding, and tattoos in the heart of Lisieux

Rose Métal is a unique festival, born from the imagination of the association Lisieux bouge !. Every June, the Place François Mitterrand in Lisieux transforms into an open-air stage where rockers, welders, and tattoo artists gather. The free event features four rock and metal concerts, live artistic welding demonstrations, and "flash" tattoo sessions with a rose theme.

Four rock and metal concerts

From 6:30 PM to 1 AM, four rock and metal bands take the stage, offering an eclectic program mixing brutal pop, alternative rock, metal, and punk. The 2024 edition notably featured bands like Sun (brutal pop), Madam, and Imparfait (alternative metal). The atmosphere is electric and friendly, fueled by a passionate audience.

Artistic welding and tattooing

Rose Métal's originality lies in the fusion of music and visual arts. Artist-welders create metal sculptures on the rose theme live, right before the festival-goers' eyes. Simultaneously, professional tattoo artists offer "flash" tattoo sessions – quick rose designs – at reduced prices. Drinks and food are available on-site.

An event by Lisieux bouge !

Rose Métal is organized by the association Lisieux bouge !, which also presents the Lisieux Grands Ouverts festival. Founded in 2021, the association relies on about fifty volunteers to liven up Lisieux's cultural scene.
