Summer Of Rom — edition 2026

The 7th edition of the Summer Of Rom Festival was scheduled from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th, 2026, in Laburgade, featuring around forty artists across the Rodolpho and Tudurum stages and over 36 hours of non-stop electronic music. On the eve of the opening, the Ren'Art association announced the cancellation of the event: administrative authorization was denied due to the exceptional fire risk affecting the Lot department that summer. The team is looking forward to 2027.

A 7th edition announced for July 24th–26th, 2026

The Summer Of Rom Festival scheduled its seventh edition from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th, 2026, on its usual site between Lalbenque and Laburgade, in the heart of the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park. Doors were set to open on Friday, July 24th at 5:00 PM and close on Sunday, July 26th at 6:00 PM. Tickets for this edition went on sale on Monday, December 15th, 2025, at 2:00 PM, and the intentionally limited capacity filled up quickly: 44 days before the event, nearly 70% of tickets had already been sold, with the association anticipating a sell-out in the final days.

An edition cancelled on the eve of the opening

The event ultimately did not take place. In a statement released on social media, the Ren'Art association explained that following a meeting with the Lot prefecture, the SDIS 46 fire department, the National Forestry Office, the Lot gendarmerie, and members of the Laburgade municipal council, administrative authorization to open the festival was denied. The decision was based on a very high fire risk, as the department—and the immediate surroundings of the site in particular—had faced several violent fires in the preceding weeks.

The organizers expressed their understanding of a decision they described as "well-founded, sincere, and data-driven," while highlighting the heavy blow it represented for an association already weakened by two difficult seasons. They committed to implementing a refund process and announced their intention to "take their revenge in 2027." The festival expressed its gratitude to the municipality of Laburgade and state services for the ongoing dialogue.

Two stages and over 36 hours of music

The lineup for this seventh edition, curated since September by the Ren'Art programming committee, brought together about forty artists across two simultaneous stages, Rodolpho and Tudurum, from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. It blended headliners from the French electronic scene, artists from Toulouse, and local talent, covering a wide spectrum: house and groove during the day, and techno, trance, and hard groove at night, featuring both live and vinyl sets. Several back-to-back (b2b) sets and live performances punctuated the schedule, with VJ Oskar avec un K providing visuals for the Tudurum stage on Friday and Saturday nights.

A redesigned site and reinforced security

For 2026, the team announced a complete update of its security measures, carried out with the support of the Lot prefecture and the SDIS: the site plan was slightly adjusted without altering the immersive experience or the hospitality that define the festival's reputation. The scenography remained entirely designed and built by the team, in the 100% DIY spirit that characterizes Summer Of Rom, with chill-out areas completing the layout.

An exhibitor village and activities

As every year, an exhibitor village showcased local creators and artisans throughout the weekend: macramé jewelry with Aya by Melissa, vintage thrift stores with Dans le Rétro Shop and Rétro Colette, upcycled creations made from vinyl records, inner tubes, and metal with Piratas Nomadas and Créatenz, fine-line tattooing with Toulouse-based 100visage, tooth gems and temporary tattoos with Dentostrass, festive biodegradable glitter makeup with Clemouah, seated Amma massage with Valéry Conquet, and festival souvenirs (Instax photos, keychains) with Yohan. A giant slip-and-slide was set up on Saturday afternoon.

A festival born from passion and friendship

The Summer Of Rom Festival is an electronic music festival held every summer in Laburgade, on farmland located between Lalbenque and Laburgade, in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy. This adventure began in 2020, after the first lockdown, under the name Summer Of Love Festival, with the aim of enriching the local cultural offerings of the Lot by providing an original program in an intimate outdoor setting.

A tribute to Romain

In 2023, the festival changed its name to become the Summer Of Rom Festival, in tribute to Romain Dolo, a founding member of the Ren'Art collective, who tragically died in a road accident in late 2022. This name change carries Romain's memory at the heart of each edition, and a solemn tribute is paid to him at the close of each festival.

A rich and eclectic electronic program

Summer Of Rom offers a musical program that embraces the full diversity of electronic music. On its two stages, Rodolfo and Tudurüm, emerging local and Toulouse artists perform alongside renowned international names. The genres represented cover a wide spectrum:

  • House and deep house with collectives like Supplément Groove
  • Techno and acid
  • Trance and hard groove
  • Dub and hybrid music
  • Breaks and bass music

Each edition brings together around forty artists for more than 36 hours of music from Friday to Sunday, offering a continuous immersive experience.

A 100% homemade spirit

Summer Of Rom is distinguished by its artisanal and authentic spirit. The scenography is entirely designed and created by the festival team, with wooden structures, colorful tents, and a handmade entrance arch. The Ren'Art association, with about thirty members and supported by as many volunteers, favors local suppliers and service providers to preserve the spirit of the region.

Beyond the music

The festival also offers numerous complementary activities:

  • Chill-out areas and relaxation zones
  • Yoga and massages
  • Mölkky and outdoor games
  • Temporary tattoos
  • Pop-up bookstore
  • Giant water slide
  • Artisanal catering with local sourcing

Shaded camping is available for festival-goers, reinforcing the community and family spirit that defines this now essential summer event in the Lot.

A big family

Over the editions, Summer Of Rom has become a true family built year after year: an event with an irresistible "come back for more" feel, a place where everyone naturally finds their place. The festival deliberately maintains a limited capacity to ensure the quality of the experience and the comfort of festival-goers, prioritizing intimacy over growth.
