About Tarbes en Philo
Tarbes en Philo: Living Philosophy in the Heart of the City
Since 2016, Tarbes en Philo has been igniting philosophical reflection in the heart of Tarbes. Organized at Le Pari, fabrique artistique in partnership with the association Reliance en Bigorre, this two-day festival in June invites renowned philosophers to explore a different theme each year.
Conferences and Discussions
The festival features inaugural conferences on Friday evening, followed by a full day on Saturday with conference-debates, round tables, philosophical workshops, and performances by the conservatory mixing music and dance related to the edition's theme.
Themes that Question Our Times
Each edition explores a fundamental question: time, commitment, art and truth, fidelity... The invited philosophers — such as Étienne Klein and Michaël Foessel in 2025 — offer stimulating and accessible insights, making Tarbes en Philo an event open to all, whether passionate or new to philosophy.

10th Anniversary Edition — « Our Loyalties »
Tarbes en Philo celebrates its 10th edition on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Le Pari, artistic factory. For this anniversary, the Reliance en Bigorre association and Le Pari bring together guests from previous editions — philosophers, writers, artists — around the theme « Our Loyalties ».
On the program: conferences and discussions with speakers from past years (in person or via video), a meeting with a painter who presents his own loyalties through his work, and performances by the Conservatoire Henri Duparc in music and dance throughout both days.
The festival takes place at Le Pari, artistic factory, 21 rue Georges Clemenceau in Tarbes, a venue accessible to people with reduced mobility.
