Tarbes en Philo: Living Philosophy in the Heart of the City
Since 2016, Tarbes en Philo has been igniting philosophical reflection in the heart of Tarbes. Organized at Le Pari, fabrique artistique in partnership with the association Reliance en Bigorre, this two-day festival in June invites renowned philosophers to explore a different theme each year.
Conferences and Discussions
The festival features inaugural conferences on Friday evening, followed by a full day on Saturday with conference-debates, round tables, philosophical workshops, and performances by the conservatory mixing music and dance related to the edition's theme.
Themes that Question Our Times
Each edition explores a fundamental question: time, commitment, art and truth, fidelity... The invited philosophers — such as Étienne Klein and Michaël Foessel in 2025 — offer stimulating and accessible insights, making Tarbes en Philo an event open to all, whether passionate or new to philosophy.
