A film festival rooted in the land of Touraine

Terre(s) d'Images is a traveling film festival that crisscrosses the villages of Loches Sud Touraine to offer screenings in rural areas. Organized by the Terres d'Images association, based in Ligueil, this original festival is distinguished by its territorial roots and its commitment to making cinema accessible to as many people as possible, including in the most rural communes of Indre-et-Loire.

Four evenings, four themes around the Earth

The festival's common thread is the Earth, presented across four themed evenings in four different communes:

  • Earth of humor: an evening dedicated to laughter and satire around environmental issues
  • Earth of knowledge: exploration of our natural environment and biodiversity through the lens of documentary filmmaking
  • Earth of discovery: opening up to new horizons and discovering distant cultures
  • Earth of hope: focus on citizen initiatives, solidarity projects, and concrete alternatives for the planet

A complete program each evening

Each evening of the festival follows a rich and convivial program:

  • Thematic exhibition related to the evening's film, accessible from the opening of the doors
  • Amateur short films: screenings of films made by the Camera Photo-Club du Lochois, film school students, or local filmmakers
  • Shared meal at 8 PM, prepared with local products
  • Feature-length documentary screened at 8:45 PM in the community hall

A participatory and convivial festival

Terre(s) d'Images is characterized by its participatory spirit. The amateur short films screened in the first part allow local filmmakers to showcase their work to a warm audience. The Camera Photo-Club du Lochois is a loyal partner of the festival, actively contributing to the programming and animation of the evenings. The shared meals encourage exchanges between spectators, directors, and volunteers, creating a family-friendly and warm atmosphere that is characteristic of the festival.

A commitment to cinema in rural areas

By investing the community halls and heritage sites of the small communes of Loches Sud Touraine, Terre(s) d'Images contributes to the cultural vitality of rural territories. The festival demonstrates that cinema can be a powerful tool for social connection and environmental awareness, even far from major urban centers.
