Living wines, pétanque and concerts fair in Trespoux-Rassiels
Tu Soutires ou Tu Pointes ? is a friendly festival that takes place every year in early June under the Halle de Trespoux-Rassiels, in the Lot region. Organized by the Mafala association, which brings together three wine estates from Cahors (Clos Troteligotte, Le Vent des Jours and Mas del Périé), the event combines a fair of organic and natural living wines from Cahors and elsewhere, pétanque tournaments, rock concerts and DJ sets, a wine bar and local catering. The name plays on the double meaning between drawing wine and pointing in pétanque, summarizing the spirit of this popular festival which attracts over 600 visitors.
Born in 2022, the Tu Soutires ou Tu Pointes ? festival is an original event that cleverly combines two passions from the Southwest of France: natural wine and pétanque. The festival's name cleverly plays on wine and boules vocabulary: "soutirer" refers to the process of transferring wine from one barrel to another, while "pointer" is the fundamental gesture of a pétanque player. The event invites everyone to discover if they are more skilled at lifting their glass or making a perfect shot... or both at the same time!
At the heart of the festival, the living wines fair brings together about thirty winemakers committed to organic, biodynamic, or natural practices. A dozen estates from the Cahors appellation mingle with invited winemakers from all over France: Gaillac, Fronton, Minervois, Cornas, Bourgueil, Chinon, Pyrénées-Orientales, Cévennes, Cabardès, and many other terroirs. Visitors, both individuals and professionals, can taste and chat directly with the producers in a relaxed and warm atmosphere.
The sporting and fun aspect of the festival takes the form of pétanque tournaments open to all. Participants bring their own boules and compete in friendly competitions, with prizes to be won. Beyond pétanque and wine, the festival offers rock concerts and DJ sets in the evenings, transforming the Halle de Trespoux-Rassiels into a true open-air performance venue. Additional activities enrich the program: carriage rides, a raffle, and catering provided by local food providers.
The festival is driven by the Mafala association, created by three emblematic wine estates from the Cahors vineyard: Clos Troteligotte, the Le Vent des Jours estate, and Mas del Périé. These three winemakers, committed to organic and natural viticulture, wanted to create an event in their image: authentic, generous, and rooted in the Quercy terroir. The association is also committed to an eco-responsible approach with cardboard cutlery, reusable cups, ecological cleaning products, and a partnership with SYDED du Lot for waste management.
Since its first edition in 2022, the Tu Soutires ou Tu Pointes ? festival has established itself as a festive and popular event on the Lot's summer calendar. Every first weekend of June, the Halle de Trespoux-Rassiels, a small village on the outskirts of Cahors, comes alive for two days of conviviality combining oenological discovery, boules competition, and live music. A human-sized event that celebrates the art of living in the Lot.
The festival takes place under the Halle de Trespoux-Rassiels, Route des Vignes, 46090 Trespoux-Rassiels, in the Lot department of Occitanie.
The fair opens its doors at 10 am or 11 am depending on the edition. Pétanque tournaments start in the early afternoon. Concerts begin in the evening from 8 pm or 9 pm.
Tickets are available online on HelloAsso (Mafala association) and on-site on the day of the event. Payment by credit card or cash at the entrance.
