A creative eruption in the heart of the Côte de Nuits

The Volcan de Nuits festival was born in 2019 in Nuits-Saint-Georges from the initiative of the association Volcano de Nuits. This human-scale festival offers every year at the end of May a program combining concerts, artistic installations, and gastronomic catering, in a spirit of conviviality and discovery. The festival aims to be a "creative eruption" that shakes up conventions and invites the public to have a complete sensory experience.

Eclectic music and visual art

The musical programming of Volcan de Nuits is distinguished by its eclecticism, combining Cuban music, jazz, electro, reggae, dub, and many other genres. The 2024 edition (6th edition) notably hosted Cuban pianist Rolando Luna and offered concerts blending jazz and electronic music. The artistic component of the festival includes exhibitions, visual installations, and meetings with artists. In 2025, cartoonist Fred Bernard and artist Sarah Staub exhibited their works as part of the festival.

True to the Burgundian spirit, Volcan de Nuits places great importance on gastronomy. The festival offers quality catering with local and seasonal products, making each meal a moment of sharing and culinary discovery. Wine tastings from the Côte de Nuits complete the gastronomic offer, anchoring the festival in the exceptional wine region of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
