The event is organized by the Union Commerciale Artisanale et Industrielle de Vouvray (UCAI), which brings together the village's economic players. Unlike a recurring market, the summer night market is a unique evening event generally held on the first Friday of July, from 6 PM to 10 PM. It is a highlight of local life, distinct from the weekly covered market which takes place every Friday morning at the hall.

Vouvray's covered market hall, located on Avenue Maginot, is an ideal venue for a summer night market. This covered space offers protection from unpredictable weather while preserving an open-air atmosphere, with its open sides allowing the evening breeze to circulate. The platters offered for catering highlight products from the Touraine terroir: goat cheeses (Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine AOP, Valençay), rillettes and rillons de Tours, accompanied by local wines for memorable food and wine pairings.
