Comics at the Palais du Grand Large
Quai des Bulles fills the Palais du Grand Large in Saint-Malo from Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11. Hundreds of comic book authors sign books there, between exhibitions, talks and activities, in front of tens of thousands of visitors.
On Saturday 10/10/2026, doors open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the day ends at 6 p.m.
The festival does not fit in one building. The book fair takes over the quay, the Lucky Luke exhibition sits in the Saint-Sauveur chapel, and the Grande Passerelle cultural centre and the Bidouane Tower are also on the route. Several venues in town stay open to everyone, and every site is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.
A day ticket costs 14 euros, or 8 at the reduced rate. The three-day pass is 29 euros, or 16 reduced. Children under 12 get in free. Entry is exchanged for a wristband at the desk on the Quai Duguay Trouin.
From Rennes, the train takes about 55 minutes to Saint-Malo.
From Dinan to Brest, the rest of Brittany
In Dinan, the International Fashion Designers Festival runs through Sunday: an exhibition of the competing collections at the Théâtre des Jacobins, a talk open to the public, street shows on place de la Résistance, then a gala evening with the prizes. Nelly-Claire Rodi, founder of the Nelly Rodi agency, chairs the jury. In Dinard, the Dinard British Film Festival screens British and Irish films from October 7 to 11.
Landerneau, place François Mitterrand. Faites du Jeu dans Landerneau opens on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. More than 70 board games, an escape game, a giant werewolf game and a murder party fill the Maison Pour Tous, along with a contest of authors' prototypes. Entry is free, from age 2, and about 1,500 visitors come over the weekend.
In Brest, the Atlantique Jazz Festival spreads its concerts across the Espace Vauban, La Carène, Le Quartz and La Maison du Théâtre, with contemporary jazz, improvised music and experimental forms. Cafés in town, including the Bad Seeds and the Beaj Kafé, host concerts too.
On the Morbihan coast, Escales Photos hangs large-format photographs on the house fronts of Locmariaquer, Arzon, Plouharnel, Le Palais and Houat. Access is free and open day and night.
