Berzyk Festival

A festival born from passion and local commitment

The Berzyk Festival was born in 2010 in Berzy-le-Sec, a small village in the Aisne department located five minutes from Soissons. The result of a project jointly led by the municipal team and a group of music-loving friends, the festival quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the Axonian alternative scene. In 2014, the Berzyk association (under the French law of 1901) was created to structure the organization of the event and give it a lasting foundation.

The Château de Berzy-le-Sec as a setting

The festival takes place at the foot of the Château de Berzy-le-Sec, on Place Roger Ambroise. This exceptional medieval setting gives Berzyk a unique atmosphere, blending historical heritage and rock energy. The main outdoor stage hosts about ten bands each edition over two evenings, on Fridays and Saturdays of the second weekend in June.

An eclectic program with a punk and rock focus

While Berzyk's musical focus remains punk, ska, rock, and metal, the festival is not limited to these genres. Over the years, the programming has expanded to include reggae, hip-hop, electro, jazz, and world music, offering a broad panorama of current and alternative music. Among the notable artists from past editions are Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Les Sales Majestés, Didier Super, Los Tres Puntos, Katillers, OPA (Orchestre Punk de l'Aisne), Panik LTDC, Puppasonic Rapadub, and Kasha & The Sinners. In over fifteen years of existence, the festival has hosted more than 110 bands on its stage.

Much more than just music

Berzyk is not just about concerts. Each edition offers a complementary program with Berzykid (shows and activities for young audiences), fire shows (juggling, fire-breathers), live mural paintings, sound processions, and various artistic performances. The 2024 edition, celebrating the festival's 15th anniversary, notably featured the show "Gina," a clown-accordionist, and the creation of a live anniversary mural.

An accessible and friendly festival

Berzyk stands out for its very affordable prices (€2 per day), its free and secure camping with sanitary facilities, its free parking, and its PMR access. The food and drink offerings highlight local products, regional beers, and local champagne. The entire event is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, with an estimated attendance of around 2,000 people per edition.
