Corsica British & Irish Film Festival (Under My Screen) in Ajaccio

The Corsica British & Irish Film Festival, better known as Under My Screen, is Ajaccio's British and Irish film festival, located in South Corsica. Created in 2009, it has established itself as the unmissable event for Anglophone cinema from the British Isles in Corsica, attracting film lovers and professionals every year.

British and Irish Cinema in the Spotlight

Each edition offers about twenty British and Irish films presented in original version with French subtitles: premieres, fiction, documentaries, comedies, and dramas. The festival includes an official competition with a jury that awards several prizes, as well as a selection for schools, masterclasses, and the presence of numerous guests. During the 16th edition (November 2025), the Grand Jury Prize was awarded to I Swear by Kirk Jones, the Audience Award to Mr. Burton by Marc Evans, and the Under My Screen Award to Frewaka by Aislinn Clarke.

A Festival Rooted in Corsica

While Ajaccio is the heart of the event, screenings also extend to other towns on the island (Corte, Porto-Vecchio, Propriano depending on the edition). The event fully contributes to the cultural and tourist appeal of South Corsica in late autumn.
