The Hippodrome de la Baie, also known as the Saint-Brieuc racecourse, is located on the heights of the town of Yffiniac, in the heart of a wooded area overlooking the bay of Saint-Brieuc. Every year, the Société des Courses de Saint-Brieuc organizes seven race days here, including two PMU Premium meetings broadcast on the Equidia channel. The disciplines offered are trot attelé (harness racing) and plat (flat racing).

The Fête des Courses, a family day

The highlight of the racing season is the Fête des Courses, an exceptional day that combines the excitement of horse racing with a funfair atmosphere. On the program:

• Seven horse races throughout the afternoon
• Children's entertainment: inflatable structures, pony rides, face painting, snacks
• Food and drink available on site
• Free admission for children

Created in 2005 by the Fédération Régionale des Courses de l'Ouest, this event aims to introduce the world of horse racing to new audiences in a friendly and accessible atmosphere.

A racecourse steeped in history

The Yffiniac racecourse has been part of the Saint-Brieuc landscape since the 19th century. Located at 51 rue Saint-Laurent, it offers a green and panoramic setting for spectators. The Société des Courses de Saint-Brieuc, a non-profit organization (loi 1901), perpetuates the horse racing tradition of the Côtes-d'Armor region by organizing quality meetings, attracting both passionate bettors and families looking for entertainment.
