About Festi Lumi

Festi Lumi is Bonifacio's Corsican lights festival. Created in 2014, every summer for three nights, it transforms the medieval upper town and the Marina into a nocturnal route of light installations, monumental mappings, scenographies, and local entertainment, from sunset until 1 AM. In 2026, the festival presents its 11th edition on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026, on the theme of Sport, and more specifically Football. The event is entirely free and accessible to all.

Festi Lumi, Bonifacio's Lights Festival

Festi Lumi is a light art festival that takes place every summer in the medieval upper town and the Marina of Bonifacio, in Corse-du-Sud. Created in 2014 on the initiative of the municipality of Bonifacio to enhance its architectural heritage, the festival has been artistically directed by L'Agence Lumière (Régis Clouzet), which has been responsible for its programming for eight editions.

An Immersive and Free Nocturnal Route

For three nights, from sunset until 1 AM, the festival unfolds an intuitive itinerary where every street, facade, and square of the citadel tells a story in light. Giant video mappings on facades, luminous artworks, intimate experiments, and live performances converge across a dozen sites — from the bastions of the upper town to the alleys of the Quartier Pisan, passing through the viewpoints of Campu Rumanilu and the Marina. Access is entirely free.

A Spectacular Edition Every Summer

The 2025 edition brought together over 12,000 visitors over three evenings around the theme of the Mediterranean and Bonifacio fishermen, marking the festival's tenth anniversary. Each edition features an open call for projects to artists, visual artists, architects, scenographers, and lighting designers, whose selection, announced each winter, leads to original creations for Bonifacio.

An Event Supported by the Municipality and its Partners

Festi Lumi is organized by the Mairie de Bonifacio in partnership with the Office de Tourisme de Bonifacio and the artistic direction of L'Agence Lumière. The festival strongly contributes to the cultural and tourist attractiveness of the municipality and Corse-du-Sud, by showcasing the exceptional architectural heritage of the Genoese city in a nocturnal scenography renewed annually.

Festi Lumi — edition 2026

11th edition of Festi Lumi in Bonifacio, from Thursday, July 2nd to Saturday, July 4th, 2026. On the theme of Sport and more specifically Football, the festival deploys its luminous installations, monumental mappings, and performances throughout the upper town and the Marina for three nights, from sunset to 1 AM. Free access.

Festi Lumi 2026 — 11th edition

For its eleventh edition, Festi Lumi invites you on Thursday, July 2nd, Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th, 2026, in Bonifacio. For three nights, from sunset until 1 AM, the medieval upper town and the Marina transform into a nocturnal route of luminous artworks, giant video mappings projected onto facades, scenographies, and local animations.

The theme: Sport and Football

The 2026 edition takes Sport — and more specifically Football — as its guiding theme, proposed to artists, visual artists, architects, videographers, and scenographers via the open call for projects from October to December 2025. The theme is not mandatory and can be replaced by any other proposal resonating with the location or history of Bonifacio.

An intuitive and free route

Visitors are invited to freely explore the Genoese city along an itinerary punctuated by varied luminous installations, ranging from monumental scenographies to more intimate experiments, including live performance moments. The event is entirely free and accessible to all. The detailed program and the list of selected works are announced in the spring preceding the edition by the organization.
