About Festival A La Noix
The Périgord nut in the spotlight
The Festival A La Noix celebrates the Périgord nut, an emblematic product of the Dordogne, every year in June. Organized in La Dornac (24120) by the association Ciel est Omaquées, this friendly festival combines gastronomy, live performance, and local traditions.
A two-day program
The festival unfolds over two days with a varied program:
- Saturday evening: theatre performances and concerts under the Halle Loto starting at 8:30 PM.
- Sunday: nut market on the Route de la Cassagne from 10 AM to 6 PM, with local producers and artisans, followed by a traditional ball at 6:30 PM under the Halle.
Conviviality and terroir
Refreshments and food are available on-site throughout the festival. The event is an opportunity to discover products made from Périgord nuts — walnut oil, kernels, cakes, liqueur — in a festive and authentic atmosphere.
