The Festival du Rire: Locminé, capital of humor in March
Every March, Locminé transforms into the Morbihan capital of humor with the Festival du Rire, organized by Centre Morbihan Culture in partnership with Yaka Breizh Productions. This festival features several humor and one-man-show performances spread over several days, with renowned artists from the French comedy scene and a springboard for young comedians.
Headliners of French Humor
The Festival du Rire de Locminé attracts renowned comedians every year. The 2025 edition notably featured Antonia De Rendinger, Romain Oliviero, and Bérengère Krief, three artists with distinct comedic styles who delighted the Locminé audience. Previous editions hosted Dany Boon, confirming the festival's ability to attract national headliners to this small town in the Centre Morbihan.
The Humor Springboard (Tremplin de l'Humour)
A highlight of the festival, the Tremplin de l'Humour gives a platform to young talents on the comedy scene. Each comedian has 10 minutes to win over the audience and the jury. This competition, held at the beginning of the festival, allows for the discovery of future stars of French humor in a warm and supportive atmosphere. The Springboard is open to all styles of humor: stand-up, sketch, improvisation, and burlesque.
Intimate venues for laughter
The Festival du Rire performances take place in the halls of Locminé, notably at the Cinéma Le Club and the Espace La Maillette. These human-sized venues offer a unique proximity between artists and the audience, enhancing the comedic intensity of the shows. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere makes the festival a moment of sharing and good humor appreciated by all.
A festival rooted in the territory
The Festival du Rire is part of the cultural season of Centre Morbihan Culture, which offers a rich program of performances, concerts, and cultural events throughout the year. By dedicating a highlight to humor, the festival contributes to the diversity of cultural offerings in the region and attracts audiences from all over Morbihan.
