Traveling festival of live performance and local initiatives in Pays de Baud
The Festival l'Échappée is a traveling cultural event supported by Baud Communauté in Morbihan. Each year, the festival settles in a different municipality in the territory, thus creating a strong link between the artistic programming and the places that host it. After Baud, Camors, Melrand, it is Guénin that will host the 4th edition in 2026.
The program of L'Échappée combines music, dance, theater, and multidisciplinary artistic forms. Each edition explores a strong cultural theme: in 2026, the festival will highlight the connections linking Africa, the Caribbean, and Brittany through performances that celebrate joy, sharing, encounters, and the duty of remembrance.
Access to the festival site is free. The performance program is partly free and partly paid. This pricing policy allows as many people as possible to enjoy the event and discover artists from various backgrounds.
The Festival l'Échappée is not limited to the stage. A market of local producers and artisans is organized on Friday evening, while a biodiversity village dedicated to birds is offered on Saturday, accompanied by public awareness actions for environmental protection.
The festival carries a sustainable development charter entitled “L'Échappée Durable”, which commits the event to a responsible approach: waste management, short circuits for catering, promotion of soft mobility, and public awareness of environmental issues.
L'Échappée relies on a network of committed volunteers mobilized to bring this cultural highlight to life. The festival calls on volunteers each year for reception, logistics, and entertainment, thus contributing to creating a collective dynamic around the event.
In 2026, the festival will take over the annex football field in Guénin and partly the ManÉvel hall, offering a rural and friendly setting. This implantation in unusual places is part of the identity of L'Échappée, which transforms each space into a place for performance and meeting.
Guénin is located in the center of Morbihan, about 20 minutes from Pontivy and 30 minutes from Vannes.
The festival takes place on the annex football field and in the ManÉvel hall in Guénin.
Access to the festival site is free. Some performances are paid. Ticketing open from April 10, 2026, on www.baud-communaute.bzh and at the Tourist Office of Saint-Nicolas-des-Eaux.
Market of local producers and artisans on Friday evening. On-site catering during the festival.

Guénin and its surroundings offer a wide choice of accommodation: hotels, B&Bs, gîtes, campsites, and seasonal rentals. It is recommended to book in advance, especially during the summer period. The local tourist office can help you with your accommodation search.
Inquire with the organizers for access conditions for people with reduced mobility. The main festival venues are generally accessible.
Remember to consult the detailed program before your visit to plan your performances and activities. For outdoor performances, bring clothing suitable for the Breton weather (windbreaker and rainwear recommended). Carpooling is encouraged to limit the environmental impact. Follow the festival's social media for the latest news and any program changes.
Take advantage of your visit to the Festival l'Échappée to discover the tourist attractions of Morbihan: the Gulf of Morbihan, the megaliths of Carnac, the islands of the Ponant, the wild coast of Quiberon, and the character towns of the department. The local tourist office will provide information on nearby visits and activities.
