Each year, on June 21st, the prefecture of Essonne celebrates the Fête de la Musique with enthusiasm and generosity. Iconic venues include the Place de la Commune, Parc Pompidou, Cours Monseigneur Roméro, Place Jules Vallès, Place de l'Orme à Martin, and Place Guy Briantais.

Since the merger of the towns of Évry and Courcouronnes in 2019, the Fête de la Musique has been jointly organized for the entire new municipality, which brings together over 70,000 inhabitants.
