Usually, the festival unfolds freely throughout the historic center: the Halle aux Grains, the Halle Saint-Volusien and the Abbatiale Saint-Volusien, the Pyrène, Lakanal and 8 Mai 1945 squares, the main courtyard of the Hôtel de Ville, as well as street performances in the narrow streets. The program blends classical music, rock, hip-hop, electro, traditional songs, choirs, and world dances, from midday until the heart of the night.

The Fête de la Musique in Foix
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Foix into an open-air stage every June 21. From midday until the heart of the night, amateur musicians, conservatory students, choirs, vocal ensembles, and local groups play for free in public spaces, at the foot of the Château des Comtes de Foix.
A festival throughout the historic center
Usually, several stages are distributed in emblematic locations in the city center: the Halle aux Grains, the Halle Saint-Volusien, the Abbatiale Saint-Volusien, Place Pyrène, the main courtyard of the Hôtel de Ville, Place Lakanal, or Place du 8 Mai 1945. Wandering performances also animate the narrow streets of the historic center. The program features a dialogue between classical music, rock, hip-hop, electro, traditional songs, choirs, and world dances.
