The Fête de la Musique of Longjumeau: musical aperitif, live concerts and DJ set until 1 am in the medieval town center
In Longjumeau (91160), the Fête de la Musique on June 21st is more than just a day of concerts: since 2020, it has merged with the Town Festival, transforming the entire town center into a large festive and musical space from noon until 1 am. A unique popular event in Essonne, free and open to all.

The afternoon preceding the concerts is marked by free family entertainment: strolling band, clowns, cosplay shows, street arts, carousels, skimboard, laser tag, mini-golf and rugby activities. Terrace catering is provided by the town center merchants who are partners of the event.
Longjumeau is a town of about 22,000 inhabitants, known for its rich medieval heritage — Saint-Biaise-des-Simples chapel (12th century), 18th-century post relay — and for its cultural dynamism. The Halle Mandela and the Théâtre de Longjumeau offer quality shows throughout the year, reinforcing the town's musical and artistic identity.
The Fête de la Musique has been celebrated in Longjumeau for many years, but it was from 2020 that it merged with the Town Festival to form a larger-scale event. This enhanced edition has been a great success, bringing together several thousand people in the town center each year.
The 6th edition of the Fête de la Ville/Fête de la Musique of Longjumeau was held on June 21, 2025, from noon to 1 am. Family entertainment in the afternoon (band, clowns, skimboard, mini-golf, cosplay), then musical aperitif with MikOsax (7 pm), live concert Disc'Over (9 pm) and DJ set Monsieur Croque Madame (11 pm). Free admission. The town center was closed to traffic from 6 am to 8 am the next day.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Longjumeau will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, always associated with the Fête de la Ville, which is celebrating its 7th edition this year. Under the banner of music, summer, and conviviality, the day will take over the city center from 2 PM to 1 AM.
The festivities will be concentrated on Place Charles Steber and Place de Bretten, which will host stands, workshops, carousels, and festive activities for all ages. Partner businesses in the city center will provide terrace dining throughout the event.
