The festival takes place in the center of Sarlat-la-Canéda (24200) and at Les Noyeraies du Lander.

  • By car: A89 then D704 towards Sarlat.
  • By train: Sarlat SNCF station.

The Périgord Walnut, an Exceptional Product

The Périgord walnut benefits from an Appellation d'Origine Protégée (AOP), making it one of the emblematic products of Périgord gastronomy. The Fête de la Noix en Périgord highlights this fruit through a rich program of tastings, meetings with producers, and culinary discoveries.

A Gourmet Program

The event features a regional walnut oil competition, traditional walnut oil production demonstrations, a producers' and artisans' market offering walnuts, walnut oil, cakes, liqueurs, and other walnut-based specialties. Visitors can also enjoy numerous tastings of dishes, desserts, and aperitifs featuring walnuts.

The Walnut Banquet

Les Noyeraies du Lander organizes the Walnut Banquet, a highlight of the festival where guests savor a meal entirely dedicated to the Périgord walnut, from starter to dessert.
