The Fête du Four d'Espeyrut is an annual event that celebrates the heritage and conviviality of the small village of Espeyrut, part of the commune of Donzenac in Corrèze. Organized at the end of August by the Association pour l'animation du village d'Espeyrut, this festive day highlights the village's traditional oven, a symbol of Corrèze's rural heritage.

La Ronde du Four: a sporting trail

The sporting highlight of the festival is La Ronde du Four, a nature trail organized at 9 am. Two routes are offered: 8 km and 16 km, allowing everyone to choose according to their level. These races wind through the paths around Espeyrut, offering typical hilly landscapes of Corrèze.

The trail attracts runners from all over the region and creates a sporty and friendly atmosphere from the morning.

Family treasure hunt

At 9:30 am, a family treasure hunt titled "In search of Espeyrut's treasure" starts in the heart of the village. This free activity allows families to discover Espeyrut's heritage in a fun way: old houses, alleys, the traditional oven, the forge (rue de la Forge).

It's an ideal activity for children and parents who want to enjoy the festival in a relaxed atmosphere.

Meal, pétanque, and entertainment

At noon, a convivial meal brings participants together. The afternoon is dedicated to a pétanque competition with on-site registration, free pony rides for children, and various games.

In the evening, at 8 pm, barbecues are offered to extend the day in a warm and festive atmosphere.

Heritage: the oven and the forge

The village of Espeyrut preserves traces of its rural past: the traditional oven that gives the festival its name, and the forge located on Rue de la Forge. The festival is an opportunity to showcase this heritage and introduce visitors to the village's history.
