An unmissable gastronomic event

The Journées Gourmandes du Grand Morvan et des Pays de Bourgogne are one of the most important gastronomic events in Côte-d'Or. Organized for over 30 years by the Association pour la Promotion des Produits Gourmands du Grand Morvan, they take place every year during the Ascension weekend at the Halle Jean Bertin in Saulieu. For four days, the 6,000 m2 of the hall are transformed into a vast market of flavors and know-how.

A tour of France of flavors

Around 90 exhibitors of food and drink products are gathered at the Journées Gourmandes: wines, champagne, craft beers, cider, liqueurs, game, fish, cheeses, pastries, chocolates, jams, honeys, and many other specialties. Visitors can taste and buy directly from producers, creating a true tour of France of flavors. Culinary demonstrations and cooking competitions complete the program.

Saulieu, gourmet capital of Morvan

Saulieu, a small town in Morvan renowned for its gastronomic tradition since the 17th century, is the ideal setting for these days. The town has seen great chefs such as Alexandre Dumaine and Bernard Loiseau, whose Michelin-starred restaurant Le Relais Bernard Loiseau perpetuates culinary excellence. The Journées Gourmandes are part of this tradition of hospitality and pleasure of the table that makes Saulieu famous.
