La Fabrick des Z'Enfants

A festival born in a former leather tannery

Created in 2013 by the Compagnie Création Éphémère, the La Fabrick des Z'Enfants festival found its setting in the Théâtre de la Fabrick, a former leather tannery (leather tanning workshop) located in the heart of the historic district of Millau, at 9 rue de la Saunerie. This unique venue, with its stone vaults and intimate atmosphere, offers an ideal setting for young audiences' performances, where the proximity between artists and spectators creates a special magic.

Five days of shows for young and old

Every summer, at the end of July, the festival hosts about ten professional companies from all over France for five days. The program includes:

• Contemporary theater adapted for young audiences, with inventive staging and demanding texts.
• Circus and acrobatics: tightrope walking, juggling, and circus arts in the streets of Millau.
• Musical tales and puppets: poetic shows combining narration, live music, and object manipulation.
• Discovery workshops: introductions to theater, stage makeup, and puppet making for children.
• Poetic Moments: free installations and street performances scattered throughout the city.

La Compagnie Création Éphémère

Founded in 1986 and managed by the association ACT 12, the Compagnie Création Éphémère is a professional theater company based in Millau for over thirty years. It carries out creation, dissemination, and cultural mediation work throughout the Aveyron region. The La Fabrick des Z'Enfants festival is one of its flagship projects, combining quality artistic programming with cultural action for young audiences.
