Far from being limited to the European Middle Ages, the event explores the medieval civilizations of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, thus offering an unprecedented and enriching panorama of this historical period.
An exceptional fortress-castle
The Château de Chazelet, an imposing fortress overlooking the Abloux valley, is one of the last medieval-style fortified castles in France. Listed as a Historic Monument since 1927, its construction was completed in 1544. Located in the heart of the Brenne Regional Natural Park, it offers an exceptional setting for this dive into history. Guided tours of the castle exteriors allow visitors to discover the architecture and history of this remarkable monument.
Combats and shows
Knight combats and 12th-century Eastern warrior jousts are the highlights of the event, promising impressive tournaments. Commented demonstrations of Viking warrior formations and Icelandic wrestling complete the show. The Apsara dance, a symbol of Khmer culture, adds a touch of grace and lightness to the entire program.
Craftsmanship and know-how
The event highlights medieval craftsmanship through demonstrations and exhibitions. Visitors can observe artisans at work and discover the ancestral techniques of different medieval civilizations. Thematic exhibitions complement this immersion into the daily lives of medieval men and women.

The Association des Amis du Château de Chazelet organizes this event with passion to bring this exceptional heritage to life.
