About Music Day in Bordeaux
Every June 21, Bordeaux celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): hundreds of artists, DJs, and amateur musicians freely take over the city's streets, squares, parks, and quays. Organized by the City of Bordeaux, the day is entirely free and blends all genres, from electro to rock, pop to classical, rap to reggae.

Usually, the City of Bordeaux sets up "Bordeaux Culture" stages distributed throughout the city, complemented by concerts from bars, associations, and collectives. The festival freely takes over the central squares and forecourts (place de la Comédie and Grand-Théâtre, cour Mably, place Pey-Berland), parks (Parc bordelais, parc aux Angéliques), and the Garonne quays, from mid-afternoon until the heart of the night, featuring all genres: electro, pop, rock, rap, dub, classical, and world music.
