About Music Festival in Brive-la-Gaillarde
Every June 21, Brive-la-Gaillarde celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): town centre squares and courtyards transform into open stages where amateurs, conservatory students, and established groups play for free. Organized by the City of Brive, the day is entirely free and blends all styles, from pop to jazz, rock to techno, Latin to traditional music.
The Fête de la Musique in Brive-la-Gaillarde
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Brive-la-Gaillarde into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from early afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
Three amplified stages in the city centre
For the 2026 edition, the City is setting up three amplified stages: Place Charles-de-Gaulle, in the courtyard of the Labenche museum, and, new this year, Place Lartigue. About twenty groups are scheduled to perform there. The Conservatory also offers several events from the afternoon, at the courthouse, in the Francis-Poulenc auditorium, and in the museum courtyard, while concerts enliven the main courtyard of the town hall.
All styles coexist: pop, rock, techno, jazz, folk, Latin, DJ sets, 80s hits, traditional and classical music. A musical parade sets off at 7 PM in the streets, and numerous activities extend the celebration in the city centre's bars and restaurants.
Music Festival in Brive-la-Gaillarde — edition 2026
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Brive-la-Gaillarde will take place on Sunday, June 21, free of charge throughout the city center. Three amplified stages set up by the City will host about twenty groups, complemented by events from the Conservatoire and entertainment from bars and restaurants.

Place Charles-de-Gaulle
Amplified stage set up by the City, one of the three main stages in the city center among the twenty or so programmed groups (pop, rock, techno, jazz, folk, latino, DJ, 80s music, traditional and classical music).
Cour du musée Labenche
Second amplified stage, which also hosts several Conservatoire events during the day.
Place Lartigue — new for 2026
New amplified stage added this year to the City's setup.
Cour d'honneur de la mairie, tribunal et auditorium Francis-Poulenc
Concerts in the town hall courtyard and Conservatoire events from the afternoon at the courthouse and in the Francis-Poulenc auditorium.
Musical Stroll — 7 PM
Musical parade through the city center streets starting at 7 PM, before the celebration continues in bars and restaurants.
