Free concerts throughout the city on June 21st, 2026
Every June 21st, Grenoble celebrates the Fête de la Musique: from the Bastille to the heart of the city, squares, bars, and venues transform into open stages. Open-air concerts, harmonies, French song, jazz, electro, and pop-rock animate the capital of the Alps for free from early afternoon until the middle of the night.
Since its national creation in 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Grenoble into an open-air stage every June 21st. On the occasion of the summer solstice, amateur and professional musicians play for free in the streets, squares, bars, and venues of the city, from early afternoon until late into the night.
The festival unfolds at the foot of the mountains and up to the summit of the Fort de la Bastille, accessible by cable car. The city center, bars, and cultural venues host a mosaic of free concerts: harmonies and orchestras, French song, jazz and world music, pop-rock, folk, and electro sets follow one another throughout the day and evening.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Grenoble will take place on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the city. From the Bastille fort to the city center, harmonies, French chanson, jazz, pop-rock, and electro sets will liven up squares, bars, and venues from the afternoon until the heart of the night.
