Every June 21, Plaisance-du-Touch celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians, conservatory students, and local bands play for free throughout the city, from the center to the shores of Lake François Soula. Organized by the City of Plaisance-du-Touch, the day is entirely free and open to all, lasting late into the night.
The Fête de la Musique in Plaisance-du-Touch
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Plaisance-du-Touch, a town in western Toulouse, into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from the afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A festival spread throughout the city
Usually, the day opens with a participatory stage at the Joséphine Baker media library, where local talents are invited to perform, before the celebration continues in the evening by Lake François Soula, which hosts the main stage and its open-air concerts. The night ends with music from a DJ set at La Petite Touch.
