About Painters in the Street Festival

Every year, the Les peintres dans la rue festival brings together amateur and professional artists in Santenay to create one or more paintings in a single day, using any technique and theme they choose. The finished works are displayed and sold on panels set up at the Place du Jet d'Eau. The festival also features a craft market in the same square. Organized by the Santenay Tourist Office, it brings together painters, artisans, and visitors for a friendly day out with the whole family.

Painters in the Street Festival — edition 2026

The 7th edition of this event brings together amateur and professional painters on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 10 am to 6 pm. Artists will be creating their works live at Place du Jet d'Eau, choosing their own themes and techniques, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, and pen and ink. A craft market will also be held in the same square, accompanied by live music from the band Roger Roger, a children's workshop, donkey rides, and light refreshments.
