Festival of shows for young audiences in the heart of nature in Pressins
Since 2009, Pré en Bulles has invited families to "bubble" in the heart of a one-hectare chestnut grove in Pressins, between Lyon, Grenoble, and Chambéry. Led by the association ZéBullons, this eco-responsible festival offers four days of multidisciplinary shows—theater, music, puppets, circus, magic—and about ten creative and playful workshops, accessible from 6 months old. A unique biennial event where culture rhymes with nature, in a respectfully arranged setting on a hilltop.
Since 2009, the Pré en Bulles festival has celebrated the start of the summer holidays each year in an exceptional natural setting: a one-hectare chestnut wood, perched on a hilltop, in the town of Pressins in Isère. Created on the initiative of a collective of enthusiasts, then taken over and led since 2021 by the association ZéBullons, this festival of shows for young audiences has become a must-attend event for families in North Isère and the Savoyard foothills.
Pré en Bulles is above all an artistic immersion in the heart of nature. Along a maze of small forest paths, festival-goers discover carefully arranged spaces, where seven shows blending theater, music, puppets, circus, and magic are presented, as well as ten creative and playful workshops. Every corner of the wood holds a surprise: a show nestled among the trees, a creative workshop around a bend in the path, a play area under the canopy. The festival is for all ages, with a program designed for children from 6 months old, offering unforgettable sensory and artistic experiences for toddlers and older children alike.
The philosophy of Pré en Bulles is based on strong values: autonomy, curiosity, discovery, respect for others and the environment. Families are invited to explore the site freely, at their own pace, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., choosing their shows and workshops according to their desires. This freedom of movement encourages encounters, exchanges, and poetic wandering in a place where time seems to stand still. Children are encouraged to explore, create, and marvel in a welcoming and safe environment.
True to its motto “Nothing is lost, everything is transformed!”, the ZéBullons association places eco-responsibility at the heart of the festival's organization. The site is respectfully arranged with local wood constructions, dry toilets, and rigorous waste management. Access to the festival is by foot or shuttle from the town hall parking lot, thus limiting the event's ecological footprint. The refreshment stand and snack bar favor local products and short supply chains, while a picnic area allows families to bring their own meals.
Founded in 2021, the ZéBullons association took over the torch of the Pré en Bulles festival and has enriched its cultural programming with new events: the ZéBulloneries (festive summer evenings combining shows and concerts) and occasional events in the Bois de Pressins. The association defines itself as a “creator of events in rural and wooded areas” and relies on a team of committed volunteers to bring culture to rural areas, making culture rhyme with nature and diversity with festivity.
Located between Lyon, Grenoble, and Chambéry, at the crossroads of North Isère and the Savoyard foothills, Pré en Bulles attracts an increasingly large audience, loyal to the quality of the programming and the unique atmosphere of the place. The festival actively contributes to the cultural dynamism of the Vals du Dauphiné territory and is an anticipated family event every summer.
The 13th edition of the Pré en Bulles festival will take place from July 5 to 8, 2026, in the Bois de Château Vieux in Pressins. This biennial event will offer four days of live performances and creative workshops in the forest, to celebrate the start of the summer holidays with family.
The Pré en Bulles festival returns for its 13th edition from July 5 to 8, 2026, in the Bois de Château Vieux in Pressins. After a 2025 year dedicated to the ZéBulloneries—three festive summer evenings organized by the ZéBullons association—the biennial festival resumes its place at the top of the wooded hill for four days of artistic immersion in nature.
True to its proven formula, this edition will feature seven multidisciplinary shows—theater, music, puppets, circus, magic, and storytelling—and ten creative and playful workshops scattered along the forest paths. The program will be accessible from 6 months old, with offerings adapted to each age group. Festival-goers will move freely around the site from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., creating their own itinerary as they discover.
The ZéBullons association, building on the experience of the 2025 ZéBulloneries which brought together nearly 300 people over three evenings, promises a renewed edition while preserving the festival's founding spirit: a beautiful natural spot, respectfully arranged, where autonomy, curiosity, and respect for the environment are the watchwords.
The detailed program of shows and workshops will be unveiled in the spring of 2026 on the ZéBullons association's website and social media.
