Villiers en Fête is the most anticipated summer event in Villiers-sur-Orge, a town in Essonne on the banks of the Orge river. Organized every year in early June by the Comité des Fêtes de Villiers-sur-Orge, this popular gathering spans four days (Friday to Monday) and features a central theme each year that colors all the activities.

A rich program over four days

Each edition of Villiers en Fête offers a dense festive program:

• Friday evening: torchlight parade through the village streets, accompanied by the lively rhythms of a batucada. Lanterns and costumes illuminate the night for a memorable festive opening.
• Saturday: a day entirely dedicated to families, with activities for children, creative workshops, games, and shows. Local associations are present to liven up the various areas.
• Sunday: a solidarity race open to all through the town's streets, followed by a large collective picnic in the town hall park, an emblematic moment of sharing and conviviality.
• From Friday to Monday: the funfair sets up for four days of fun, with rides, food stalls (churros, cotton candy, love apples), and games for all ages.

A unifying theme for each edition

Each year, the Comité des Fêtes chooses a theme around which decorations, costumes, and activities are developed. The 2026 edition is themed around colors, inviting participants to wear their most beautiful colorful outfits for the parade and family day.
