Acid Arab and a drag show in the Parc Louis Jouvet
Two days, one packed bill. The Festival au TOP sets up its stages in the Parc Louis Jouvet, at 33 boulevard Gambetta, for two days of music, shows and discoveries; the second and final evening falls on Saturday 29/08/2026, right on the weekend.
Acid Arab leads the line-up. Then come Nach, joined by Vonfelt, Pamela, Dombrance, Geiste, Sababa5, Cumbia Chicharra, Jeté d'Humains & Cie and les Mutantes, across concerts and DJ sets.
Music does not fill the whole programme. The festival slips in a drag show, circus acts and shows for younger audiences, so a single day can move from a DJ set to a circus number without leaving the park.
Few bills in the region mix registers this freely over two days.
Digne-les-Bains closes out its August in music, and the park falls quiet again on Sunday 30.
From a big top in the Écrins to the galleries of Arles
Saturday night also plays out at altitude and by the water. La Guinguette Sonore gives its second and final night of indie rock, post-rock and punk on Romaniquette beach in Istres, on the shore of the Étang de Berre, true since 2018 to its motto « Bière, poulpe & rock'n'roll », while Les Envoyageurs folds its big top the same evening at Vallouise-Pelvoux, in the heart of the Écrins massif, where the Héré'Zik association has mixed concerts, circus and hands-on workshops since 2014.
Arles is still living to the rhythm of photography. The Rencontres de la Photographie, founded in 1970 by Lucien Clergue, keep more than fifty exhibitions open in the city's heritage venues until 4 October, while the free Festival OFF spreads emerging photography through the galleries and offbeat spaces of the centre until 5 September.
In the Var, an abbey doubles as a concert hall. Les Musicales de l'Abbaye du Thoronet send early, vocal and sacred music through the Cistercian stones of Le Thoronet, whose acoustics are held to be unique in the world.
