The blues in all its splendor on the left bank of the Lorient estuary
Blues en Rade is a blues festival that unfolds over three days in the towns of Locmiquélic, Port-Louis, and Riantec, on the left bank of the Lorient estuary. Organized by the association Blues Rive Gauche, this festival offers a quality program mixing French and international blues artists. Each evening, a concert is held in a different town, offering the public an intense and friendly musical experience. The festival also includes free "OFF" events with acoustic concerts in bars and public places.
The festival Blues en Rade is a musical event dedicated to blues in all its forms, held every spring on the left bank of the Lorient estuary. Supported by the association Blues Rive Gauche, this traveling festival successively takes over the venues in Locmiquélic, Port-Louis, and Riantec for three evenings of intense and friendly blues.
The festival's format is original: each concert evening takes place in a different town, creating a musical journey across the estuary:
The Blues en Rade lineup mixes leading French and international artists. In 2026, the festival will notably host musicians from the United States, Canada, and Australia alongside French artists. The styles represented cover the entire spectrum of blues: Delta blues, Chicago blues, blues rock, soul blues, and contemporary blues.
In addition to the evening concerts, the festival offers free OFF events on Saturdays: acoustic concerts in bars, artist showcases, and open stages. These informal moments allow the blues atmosphere to continue in a relaxed and close-up setting with the musicians.
Each concert evening is accompanied by on-site catering: Far Breton on Friday, a full meal on Saturday. The bar ensures conviviality throughout the evenings. The spirit of the festival is that of a human-sized event where the audience is very close to the artists.
With 16 editions under its belt in 2026, Blues en Rade has gained regional recognition in the blues world. The festival contributes to keeping this music alive in Brittany and attracts enthusiasts from all over western France each year.
16th edition of Blues en Rade from April 3rd to 5th, 2026. Lineup: Tiger Rose & Benoit Chambille + Skyler Saufley Band (Friday), Anna Boulic trio + Dawn Tyler Watson & Ben Racine Band (Saturday), Kévin Doublé Quartet (Sunday). Free OFF events on Saturday.
The concerts take place in three towns on the left bank of the Lorient estuary.
