For two to three weeks, the festival offers a program of nearly 100 popular, cultural, and festive events along the D-Day landing beaches: official ceremonies, historical reenactments, vintage vehicle parades, concerts, dances, fireworks, and exhibitions. Coordinated by the coastal tourist offices, the D-Day Festival is largely free and open to all.

The festival spans nearly two to three weeks, from late May to mid-June, along the entire D-Day coastline, from Pegasus Bridge to Sainte-Mère-Église, including the five historic beaches: Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Gold Beach, Juno Beach, and Sword Beach.

Most events are free and open to all.
