When the countryside comes to the city
The Livestock Festival revives the tradition of true fairs of yesteryear by setting up the countryside in the heart of Brive-la-Gaillarde. The objective is to promote and defend the quality of local products and the know-how of the region's producers.
More than 600 animals are presented: Salers cows, sheep, horses, poultry, alpacas, pigs, and birds. The 2025 edition recorded 38,000 visitor entries, confirming the popular success of this event.
The festival offers presentations of Salers cattle, cattle competitions, sheep shearing demonstrations, herding dog animations, equestrian shows, and milking demonstrations.
About thirty gastronomic exhibitors showcase regional products with tastings, culinary demonstrations, and meetings with producers. Admission is free.
