Grosseto-Prugna is located in the Pieve de l'Ornano, in Corse-du-Sud, and includes the historic village of Grosseto and the seaside resort of Porticcio. The Saint-Césaire parish church, located in the heart of the village, is the rallying point for the patron saint festival.
Three days of celebration in the village
The traditional program generally spans three days, from Sunday to Tuesday around August 18th. The festivities combine a night market of local artisans and producers, children's games on the fountain square, a mass and a procession in honor of Saint-Césaire, a convivial meal featuring spit-roasted veal with musical entertainment, and a large pétanque competition at the stadium.
