The Fête de la Musique in Castelnaudary

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the capital of cassoulet into an open-air stage every June 21. On the occasion of the summer solstice, music freely takes over public spaces, from early evening until late at night, in all genres and for all audiences.

A festival in the heart of the city

Usually, concerts enliven the city center of Castelnaudary: cafe and restaurant terraces, squares and streets of the historic heart, up to the surroundings of the Grand Bassin and the Canal du Midi. The intercommunal music school and local groups traditionally participate in the festivities.
