About Foire de Baracci
The Baracci Fair (in Corsican Fiera di Baracci) is an annual craft and agricultural fair held every summer in Olmeto, on the site of the Baracci Thermal Baths, in Corse-du-Sud. Created in 1994, it is organized by the Olmeto Animation Committee (CAO) and in 2026 will celebrate its 33rd edition around the historical theme « Acqua è Saluta » (water and health), in reference to the site's thermal waters.
Each year, the fair brings together around 80 Corsican artisans, producers, and farmers who present their products : farm cheeses, charcuterie, olive oil, maquis honey, Corsican wines, essential oils, ceramics, jewelry, embroidered textiles, and handcrafted creations. Free sports, cultural, and musical entertainment, on-site catering, and free admission make this event an unmissable summer highlight in the Sartenais region.
An emblematic fair in Southern Corsica
The Baracci Fair, named Acqua è Saluta (« water and health »), is held every year in the heart of summer at the Bains de Baracci site, in Olmeto, in the neighboring commune of Propriano. Created in 1994 by the Olmeto Animation Committee (CAO), it is today one of the most frequented Corsican rural fairs in the Sartenais Valinco Taravo and is among the unmissable summer events in Corse-du-Sud.
Corsican crafts, agriculture, and savoir-faire
For two days, approximately 80 artisans and producers from all over Corsica exhibit their creations and products : farm cheeses, Corsican charcuterie, olive oil, maquis honey, wines, liqueurs and brandies, essential oils, natural cosmetics, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, embroidered textiles, and contemporary creations. The fair is part of the Fiere di Corsica network (Federation of Corsican Rural Agricultural and Craft Fairs) which brings together the island's major fairs.
An exceptional setting around the thermal baths
The site of the Baracci Thermal Baths, located in the immediate vicinity of Olmeto and Propriano, gives its name and identity to the fair. The sulphurous thermal springs, renovated in 2024 and operated from spring to autumn, are accessible during the fair and inspire the « water and health » theme of the event. Exhibitors set up their stands in the park surrounding the baths, in a natural and wooded setting.
Entertainment, concerts, and conviviality
Beyond the stands, the Baracci Fair offers a program of free entertainment : demonstrations of savoir-faire, conferences on water and health, workshops for families, water games for children, flea market, raffle, pétanque competition. Evenings are enlivened by open-air concerts featuring the Corsican scene : traditional polyphonies, Corsican singing, popular dances animated by local orchestras. Catering is provided on-site with Corsican specialties.
A free and family-friendly event
Admission to the Baracci Fair is free for the public : no ticketing is required. Parking is available near the Bains de Baracci. The event is accessible to people with reduced mobility and particularly suitable for families, with play areas and dedicated children's activities. Over the editions, the fair has become an eagerly awaited event for the Olmetacci, residents of the Sartenais, and the many summer visitors to Corse-du-Sud.

As with each edition, approximately 80 Corsican artisans, producers, and farmers are expected to present their products : farm cheeses, cured meats, olive oil, maquis honey, Corsican wines, essential oils, natural cosmetics, ceramics, jewelry, embroidered textiles, and artisanal creations. The fair also offers a flea market, demonstrations of know-how, conferences on water and health, as well as workshops for families.
Free Entertainment and Musical Evenings
Throughout the weekend, sports, cultural, and musical activities are offered free of charge : water games for children, a raffle, pétanque competitions, and street performances. The evenings highlight the Corsican scene with traditional polyphonies, Corsican songs, and popular dances. The detailed program (artists and schedules) for the 2026 edition will be communicated by the Olmeto Animation Committee closer to the event.

Admission is free for all visitors, as with each edition. Free parking is available near the Baracci Baths site. Corsican catering is available on site throughout the fair.

Practical information — Foire de Baracci
Location
The Baracci Fair is held at the site of the Baracci Thermal Baths, D 257 road, in the commune of Olmeto (20113), in Corse-du-Sud. The site is approximately 5 km from Propriano and 30 km from Sartène, in the Sartenais Valinco Taravo region.
Access
Access by car via the D 257 from the RT40 (Ajaccio–Bonifacio). From Propriano, take the direction of Olmeto then follow the signs for « Bains de Baracci ». Nearest airports : Ajaccio Napoléon-Bonaparte (1h15 drive) and Figari Sud-Corse (1h15). Free parking is available near the Bains de Baracci site during the fair.
Hours
The fair is traditionally open from 10 AM to midnight on Saturday (with concert and dance in the evening) and from 9:30 AM to 7 PM on Sunday. The precise hours for the 2026 edition will be communicated by the organization closer to the event.
Prices
Admission is free for all visitors. Concerts and entertainment are also free. Only on-site consumption (food, drinks) is charged.
Catering
Corsican catering on-site throughout the fair (charcuterie, cheeses, traditional dishes, island wines). Refreshment stand and catering points provided by the volunteers of the Olmeto Animation Committee.
